Red Spot Films Ltd was founded by  Louise Budd in 2012, a former BBC and ITV producer and director, BBC Radio producer and researcher and newspaper and magazine print journalist. A parallel career saw her serving as an Armed Forces reservist for 17 years, attending the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, for officer training and commissioned as the UK's first female infantry platoon commander. She also supported Media Operations including two years full time service on United Nations and NATO operations during the war in Bosnia and during the Handover of Hong Kong. Reaching the rank of Major, she was awarded the Territorial Decoration for her service.

There aren’t many roles I haven’t tackled in the world of film and television! I was lucky to learn my craft in an age where there was an expert for every role from camera operator to sound person and editor - I was able to learn from the very best. I’ve also always been curious about people and what makes them tick. Whatever the film, organisation or client, it’s the people and their compelling stories are at the heart of everything we do.
— Louise Budd, Director, Red Spot Films

With an impressive client list, Red Spot Films aims to work in partnership with organisations to produce strong visuals and solid sound to communicate their messages to their target audience.  Projects may involve a small, mobile crew or involve larger teams for more complex productions.
